Pre-Engineered Buildings and Structural Steel Fabrication
Apex Engineers designs, fabricates and erects pre-engineered buildings (PEB) and steel structures for factories, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, canopies and public infrastructure. Since 1992 we have built steel buildings, pedestrian bridges, toll plaza canopies and industrial sheds from our own manufacturing facility in Lahore.
Cutting, drilling and welding are done in the factory, so site work is mainly bolted assembly. That means faster erection, fewer site problems and a cleaner finish.

Steel structures we build
From a single shed to a multi-bay plant building, we size the structure to the loads, spans and use of the building.

Industrial sheds and factory buildings
Clear span and multi span portal frame buildings for manufacturing, processing and assembly.

A pre-engineered building is a steel building whose frames, purlins, girts and cladding are designed as a system and made in a factory. Built up sections are tapered to follow the bending forces, so the frame uses steel where it is needed and saves weight where it is not. The components are delivered to site and bolted together on prepared foundations.
- Faster construction than conventional buildings
- Wide clear spans with no internal columns
- Lower steel weight for the same span
- Easy to extend later
- Predictable cost and quality
- Can be dismantled and relocated

Design, fabrication, cladding and erection
Depending on the project we can take the whole package or a defined part of it. Typical scope includes structural design and shop drawings, fabrication of primary and secondary steel, surface preparation and painting, supply of roof and wall sheeting, insulation, skylights, gutters and downpipes, and erection on site.
Foundations and anchor bolts can be supplied by our civil team or by your contractor working to our anchor bolt layout. We agree the interfaces in writing before work starts so that nothing falls between two contractors.
Profile sheets from our own roll forming line
Our manufacturing facility runs roll forming machines for roof and wall profile sheets, which helps us control lead times on cladding.

How a project runs
Requirements
Building size, use, loads, cranes, doors and site location are confirmed with you.
Design and drawings
Our engineers prepare the structural design, general arrangement and shop drawings for approval.
Fabrication
Members are cut, welded, drilled and painted at our Lahore manufacturing facility and checked before dispatch.
Erection
Our crews erect the frames, purlins and cladding and complete the building to handover.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a PEB building take?
A typical industrial shed can often be designed, fabricated and erected in a few months, depending on size, foundation readiness and approvals. We give a project schedule with our quotation.
Is a PEB cheaper than a conventional steel or concrete building?
For large spans and single storey buildings a PEB usually uses less steel and goes up faster, which lowers overall cost. For small or multi storey buildings the comparison depends on the design, so we advise case by case.
Can a PEB building be extended later?
Yes. If you plan an extension, tell us at design stage and we will allow for it in the end frames so that new bays can be added easily.
Do you provide the foundations?
We can. Our civil team can build foundations and floors, or your contractor can work to our anchor bolt and foundation load drawings.
What information do you need for a quotation?
Width, length and eave height, location, intended use, any crane or mezzanine, door sizes and the type of roof and wall cladding. A sketch is enough to start.
How we deliver your project
One team and one point of responsibility, from the first drawing review to installation on site.
- Step 1
Enquiry and engineering review
We study your drawings, specifications or site details and confirm scope, quantities and the standards that apply.
- Step 2
Design and approvals
We prepare or review shop drawings and submit them for your approval before any material is cut.
- Step 3
Planning and materials
Materials are sourced to the specified grades and fabrication is scheduled around your site programme.
- Step 4
Fabrication in our manufacturing facility
Cutting, rolling, welding, FRP moulding, blast cleaning and coating happen under one roof on Multan Road, Lahore.
- Step 5
Inspection and testing
Dimensional, weld and coating checks and pressure tests are recorded, and you are welcome to inspect before dispatch.
- Step 6
Installation and handover
Our own crews install on site with safe working practices, then hand over records and support you in operation.
