Fiberglass (FRP/GRP) Grating, Toll Booths, Cabins and Moulded Products
Fiberglass reinforced plastic, also called FRP or GRP, does not rust, weighs a fraction of steel and needs very little maintenance. Apex Engineers produces FRP grating, toll booths, security booths, road safety products and custom moulded items for industry and infrastructure.
We have supplied FRP toll booths for motorways and highways and fiberglass security rooms for buildings and installations across Pakistan.

Learn more →FRP grating for corrosive and hazardous areas
Apex GRP grating is a moulded, one piece fiberglass grating made from about 65% resin and 35% continuous glass fibre. It is designed for strength and, above all, for corrosion resistance in chemical plants, mines, water treatment and other areas where steel grating rusts quickly. Standard panels measure 3660 x 1220 mm, and custom panels can be made to your drawings.
- Resists a wide range of chemicals
- Light enough to handle without lifting gear
- Easy to cut on site with standard tools
- Non sparking and non conductive
- Load bearing in both directions
- Optional anti slip grit surface

Lower lifetime cost than steel, concrete or wood
Fiberglass composites are made from glass fibres and resin. The choice of resin and glass layout sets the properties of the finished product, so it can be tuned for chemical resistance, fire performance or strength. Compared with traditional materials, FRP offers high strength for its weight, resistance to corrosion and high temperatures, and freedom to mould almost any shape.
Because it does not rust or rot, FRP usually costs less over its life than painted steel, even when the first price is similar. Cut edges can be sealed with resin kits supplied with the grating.
Fire performance, colours and load tables are confirmed for each order against the project specification.

Where this work is used
FRP toll booths for motorways and highways
A toll booth has to stay comfortable and weatherproof for staff working long shifts beside live traffic. Our FRP toll booths are moulded as strong, lightweight shells that do not rust, need little maintenance and keep their colour in strong sun. They are delivered ready to place on a prepared island, with windows, doors, counters and space for toll equipment.
We have supplied toll booths for motorway and highway projects in Pakistan, together with toll plaza canopy structures from our steel division. Booths can be made to the toll operator's drawings and colours.

Frequently asked questions
What is FRP grating used for?
FRP grating is used for floors, platforms, walkways, stair treads, ramps and trench covers, especially where steel would corrode, such as chemical plants, mines, water treatment and coastal sites.
What size are your GRP grating panels?
Our standard moulded panel is 3660 x 1220 mm. Panels can be cut to size, and custom panels can be made to your drawings.
Is FRP grating stronger than steel?
Steel is stronger for the same section, but FRP grating is far lighter and does not corrode. The right thickness and mesh are selected from load tables to suit the span and load.
Can FRP toll booths be made to our design?
Yes. We can follow your drawings and branding, including windows, doors, counters and space for equipment.
How we deliver your project
One team and one point of responsibility, from the first drawing review to installation on site.
- Step 1
Enquiry and engineering review
We study your drawings, specifications or site details and confirm scope, quantities and the standards that apply.
- Step 2
Design and approvals
We prepare or review shop drawings and submit them for your approval before any material is cut.
- Step 3
Planning and materials
Materials are sourced to the specified grades and fabrication is scheduled around your site programme.
- Step 4
Fabrication in our manufacturing facility
Cutting, rolling, welding, FRP moulding, blast cleaning and coating happen under one roof on Multan Road, Lahore.
- Step 5
Inspection and testing
Dimensional, weld and coating checks and pressure tests are recorded, and you are welcome to inspect before dispatch.
- Step 6
Installation and handover
Our own crews install on site with safe working practices, then hand over records and support you in operation.
